JAGRAFESS

The Jagrafess are gigantic, gelatinous creature similar to a slug in shape. They are sentient and able to communicate in a series of growls and screeches, with sharp, vicious teeth and several vestigial eyes. They have a life span of about 3000 years. Their metabolic rate forces them to be kept at low temperatures to survive. Hot temperature causes them to overheat and explose. Their exact origins are not known, but circa 200 000 AD, they were a servant race of the Daleks. It is possible that they might have been bioengineered by them.

OGRONS / BRAAHANS / ORESTANS

Planet of Origin: Braah / Orestes, a planet on the outer fringes of the Mutter's Spiral of the Milky Way.
Ogrons are a humanoid species standing around 7 feet tall, with bowed legs, long arms and barrelled chests. Their face is flat, with a powerful jaw and small eyes. They are much stronger thant humans, their nervous systems are highly resistant to shock. Ogrons are relatively unintelligent, speak in simple sentences using subsonic frequencies and have obedient, stoic personalities.
The dominant lifeform on their home planet is the Ogron eater, a large orange blob-like creature that preys on Ogrons, yet is worshiped by them reverently. (DW: Frontier in Space)
Given their docile nature, Ogrons taken off the planet to be employed as mercenaries by different parties, among them, the Daleks and the Remote . On some Human worlds, Ogrons were employed as police officers, usually led by a mentally augmented leader. It has been said that they were only able to fly spacecraft via their powerful sense of mimicry.

SPLINE

Splines first evolved as a planetbound sentient aquatic whale-like species but decided around one million years BC to become spaceships. Now they are mile-wide sphere-like structures of hardened fleshsdriven by hyperdrives. They are equiped with organic laser canons.
Some splines carry child-craft inside their womb, which look like s silver cylinder which can spread shining parasol shaped sails.

SNOWMEN / SNOWFLAKE

The Snowmen are believed to be among the oldest species of the Milky Way Galaxy. They developed at a time when the Galaxy itself was no more than a disc of smoke, illuminated here and there by hot-spot protostars, when there were scarcely any heavy elements to form planets.
At some point of their evolution, they turned temselves completely toward the philosophy that to record events - and only to record - was the highest calling of life. They took apart their world and rebuilt it as a monstrous storage system. They used all the material at their disposal to freeze as much data as they could in an atificial structure called the Snowflake, making near-optimal use of matter, by recording information right down to the thermodynamic limit set by the background temperature of the Universe. As the universe cools down they can store more data.
The SnowFlake is a regular tetrahedron built around the remains of a black dwarf. It measures over ten million miles along its edges. How it maintains its structure in the gravity well of the star remains unknown. While possessing about the same mass as the Earth, it has been puffed out like candy-floss; filled with struts, threads and whiskers of iron, like delicate scaffolding. It has a fractal architecture with the tetrahedron motif, repeated again and again, on all scales.
How the structure, nearly 10 billion years old endured, as it was built when the star it orbits, while todya three degrees above absolute zero, still shone at about eighteen K is another mystery.
It remains unclear if the Snowmen still exist and what their oriignal form was like. A Dully-glowing globe of purple, miles wide, embedded beneath the planar skin of the SnowFlake is believed ot be what remains of them. As no complete exploration of the Snowflake has ever been done, other such spheres may exist in its structure.

Note: The Watchers from the Marvel Universe have a similar philosophy and may be as old.

KRONANS / "STONE MEN FROM SATURN"

Planet of Origin: Planet Ria, star system Krona, Milky Way Galaxy. They had a base on one of Saturn's moon in the 1960ies. base on one of Saturn's moons
The Kronans are 8 feet tall 2000 lbs silicon based humanoid lifeforms that had already developed an advanced space faring Military dictatorship as of 3000 BC. Their bodies are composed of a strong, silicon like substance, granting them proteciton against most physical harm. Within an oxygen-based atmosphere, they possess enhanced strength. They can consume minerals such as coal or shale as food. Kronans reproduce by holding hands and immersing them within a pool of lava (traditionally Mount Krona on the homeworld); after days of merging and hardening, the hands break apart, releasing the newborn "rockling."
Their space technology is based on gravitic manipulation and they possess advanced cybernetic skills.
Around 3,000 BC, the Kronans attempted an invasion of earth. Landing in ancient Babylon, they fought King Gilgamesh of Uruk, who vanquished them with the aid of a time-travelling Captain America. The Kronans fled to their vessel and abandoned earth. (As narrated in (Captain America Annual#11 (1992))
In 1962, the Kronans landed an immense invasion force in Norway. Sighted by Dr. Donald Blake, they pursued him into a cave, where Blake discovered the hammer of Thor. The Kronans went on to attack NATO forces, driving them off with an illusionary dragon. When Thor came to fight them, they lowered a cage over him to capture him, but he smashed through. They aimed their disintegrators at him, but he smashed them with his hammer. Finally, they unleashed the Mechano-Monster, but Thor destroyed it with a single blow. Terrified of Thor, the Kronans fled earth. (As narrated in (Journey Into Mystery I#83 (August, 1962).

BANARI

Planet of Origin: A planet mostly covered in water near Fomalhaut.
The Banari are an amphibian humanoid species from an aquatic world who have developed some limited space faring capacities and genetic engiennering. They have engineered a powerful sub-race known as the Haab to serve them. Some time ago, the Banari were struck by a virus which decimated their male population. The remaining males took multiple females for mates, but the population continued to dwindle. Some of them left the homeworld to look for a new virus vree world and crashed into Earth's atlantic ocean in 1973. In the early 199ies, their homeworld was conquered by the Fomalhauti. The Fomalhauti placed them and the Haab into servitude.

FOMALHAUTI

PLanet of Origin: Pumor, the 6th planet orbiting Fomalhaut in the Milky Way Galaxy
A non-humanoid species, the Fomalhauti communicate through telepathy. They possess only a single eye, multiple tentacles, and
They look like giant amoebae, though they are multi-cellular, with a single eye and multiple tentacles and can breath underwater. They are about 2'5" high.
At some point in time, the Fomalhauti conquered the Banari, a water-breathing race whose male population was extinct. They placed them under their control using Skullhuggers, and also took their servants the Haab. The Fomalhauti have a population of 7.8 billion, with an average height of .

THE GREAT ONE

The Great One is a unique spacebound being of immense psychic power He seeks out planets whose populations are threatened and offers them protection, converting both planet and population into brainwaves retained with his mind. As such, planets and its populations can exist in close proximity to other worlds without risk of physical (or other) damage. Beings within the Great One's mind are granted safety from outside influence as well as a sense of contentment. Further, as they are now a series of thought patterns, those within the Great One do not age.
The Great One's true form is a brain-like structure the size of a small moon which travels in the depths of space. It exists in a dream-like state, having little interaction with the outside world except when it adopts other planets. It is protected from outside attack by a virtually impenetrable shield which is generated by its autonomic nervous system. Within his mind, he is virtually all-powerful, though every object within the universe he creates is a part of his mind, and he can suffer brain damage from its destruction.
Within his mindscape he projects a mental construct of himself, presumably using a form matching that of each race he visits, though somewhat larger in stature.
The Great One died in 1991 after entering a coma following a fight with the Silver Surfer.

ZENN-LAVIANS

Planet of Origin: Zenn-La, the thirs planet orbiting the star Deneb in the Milky Way galaxy, approximately 3,000 light years from Earth.
Zenn-Lavians are peaceful humanoids which developed an highly advanced technologicla and spiritual civilisation.
A million years ago, Zenn-La was home to a barbaric and violent polytheistic civilisation. Ten thousands years ago, desperate to preserve what was left of their race, the Zenn-Lavians turned to science to rebuild their world. That was the start of a Golden Age of Reason during which they overcame war, poverty, crime, disease, want and old age, as their lifespans increased to thousands of years. They sent space missions to explore most of the local group of galaxies but , non-expansionnists and sdentary, they soon withdrew to their homeworld and grew apathetic and indulgent in their utopia, with all of their needs cared for by machines.
When the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus, came to consume Zenn-La, one man, Norrin Radd, made a pact to become his herald in return for Zenn-La's safety. Radd was transformed into the being known as the Silver Surfer and left his homeworld for the stars.
In 1947, an entity known as the Other came to Zenn-La and completely erased all signs of life and civilization from the planet while putting Galactus and the Surfer who were in the same star system, catatonic. In an uncharacteristic act of compassion, Galactus recreated everything, restoring the people and the entire world exactly as it was. No one, including the Surfer, was aware of what had transpired.
In 1966, after decades of service to Galactus, the Silver Surfer was exiled and imprisoned on Earth. As the Surfer had betrayed his master, Galactus felt he was no longer obligated to keep his vow. He returned to Zenn-La and announced his intention to consume the planet. In another remarkable allowance, Galactus allowed twenty-four hours for the Zenn-Lavians to flee the doomed world, though only about 500 individuals would survive. Galactus then stripped the planet bare of the energies he craved, leaving behind a barren and devastated wasteland. Months later, the Zenn-Lavians deemed it safe to return, and set up refugee camps to live in. They blamed the Silver Surfer for what happened, and a deep resentment festered in them. The Surfer gave a female Zenn-Lavian a portion of his power cosmic, which allowed her to slowly restore life-sustaining properties to the planet, including abundant regeneration of plant life.
In 1988, Zenn-La suffered an invasion attempt by the Skrulls and, later, by the Kree. The Surfer, now self-appointed protector of his homeworld, made an agreement that he would stay neutral in their conflict if neither power would attack Zenn-La. The Surfer was tricked into defending the Skrulls from the Badoon, who, he later found out, had allied with the Kree. This drew Zenn-La into the war. In 1989, The Skrulls declared a temporary truce with the Kree, which brought back peace to Zenn-La.
In 1991, the Zenn-Lavians were approached by the Great One, a massive, technologically-augmented brain. Through telepathic communication, the Great One informed the Zenn-Lavians that he had to power to transform the entire planet into psionic energies, protecting them forever with his mind. He would not force such a gift upon any race, however, and it was the Zenn-Lavians choice to accept it or not. Realizing that the Silver Surfer could not protect them against every threat, the people of Zenn-La agreed almost unanimously to accept the Great One's offer and removed it from physical space and changing it into a simulation inside of its brain. The Surfer discovered this and infiltrated the simulation.
Though the Surfer tried to communicate with the Great One, it attacked him and the Surfer was eventually forced to fight back. During the fight, part of the Great One's brain was permanently and fatally damaged and fell into coma. With his cosmic power and the fuel of a nearby red star, and what was left of the Great One's power, the Surfer was able to restore the planets left in the Great One's mind to their previous places. Angered by the loss of their sanctuary, the Zenn-Lavians were bakc in the physical universe but rejected the Surfer.

CRITTERS / KRITES

Krites are malevolent carnivorous alien creatures that have the ability to roll into balls like hedgehogs and combine into a sphere. Krites resemble small furry/spiky animals with large mouths and many sharp teeth. The coloration of the Krites varies from black to brown and dark blue. Krites have endoskeletons, with two legs and two arms and three claws on each foot and hand. Its two eyes are red, with a vertical slit pupil. Like felines, Krites eyes are extremely adapt at seeing in the dark, and the light entering a Krites eyes can often reflect off its retinas, causing its eyes to appear to glow. The Krite's mouth spans almost from one side of its head to the other, with each jaw containing three rows of small razor sharp teeth. A Krite is a primarly carnivore but will eat almost anything. Arranged in a central vertical row along their back, Krites have quills. Made of keratin - the same substance human fingernails, each quill contains a neural toxin which causes its prey to become drowsy, disorientated, or paralysed.
While sentient and very cunning, their only goal in existence seems to simply eat and breed. It is unknown whether Krites have sexes but it is a known fact that they are oviparous. Krite embryos incubate in their eggs for a period of six months in temperate conditions or longer colder temperatures. A Krite egg is oval, approximately 15 cm in height. Its coloration can vary from brown, to brown with light green mottling, to a metallic dark green. Eggs have a hard outer shell like that of a birds, and are covered in an irregular pattern of raised interconnecting plates. A thick, sticky light green amniotic fluid fills the eggs, protecting the embryo from minor collisions during early development. A newly hatched Krite is roughly 15 cm in height, but grows rapidly. Even when newly hatched, an infant Krite is capable of capable of looking after itself, being able to bite through wood and move quickly. A fast metabolism allows Krites to quickly grow to adult size once fed. This growth can take merely a few hours. A full grown adult Krite stands between 30 to 40 cm. However, it has been known for a leader to emerge within a group. This alpha will give out special pheromones, identifying it as leader and is capable of increasing its metabolism, allowing it to rapidly increase size upon eating and grow to a height of around 1.70 m - about the same height as an adult human.
Krites are social creatures preferring to eat in groups. They will usually try to neutralise their prey before attacking them. If a Krite gets in trouble it will usually quickly try to escape from its aggressor. Instead of running, it will roll up into a ball and will roll away. If it is unable to escape from its aggressor, it will let out a cry to alert other Krites. This cry is very high frequency and is capable of shattering glass. While they are very primitive, somewhat anarchistic and only possess basic social structures, Krytes learn very fast and can assimilate complex tasks such as piloting complex vehicles and using advanced computers system. They also possess a language made of a collection of low, guttural sounds, throaty rasps and high pitched squeals.

LUPHOMOIDS

Planet of Origin: Luphom in the Andromeda Galaxy
The Luphomoids were an aggressive humanoid species which developed a space faring military dictatorship. They have superior physical strenght and pale bluish skin.
Their homeworld was destroyed by the Galactus entity while they were trying to invade Xandar. Theur invasion failed but Xandar was destroyed in the process.

XANDARIANS

Planet of Origin: Xandar in the Trant system in the Andromeda Galaxy
The Xhandarians were a humanoid species closely ressembling humans which developed an highly advanced peaceful technological Constitutional monarchy. They have developed warp-drive starships, robots, cyborg, and cybernetic technology, energy weaponry, phase tube transportation technology, Stargate transportation technology and the soullinking technology known as the Worldmind.
They established the Nova Corps, a space militia and exploration division. It consisted of 500 soldiers ranging in rank from Corpsman up to Centurion and its leader, Centurion Nova Prime. The Corps also had a regiment of Syfon Warriors.
In the 1980ies, their planet was destroyed in the 1980ies during an attack by the Luphomoids. Xandarian civilization survived within the Xandar Cluster, an interconnected field of asteroids that housed the surviving domed cities of what was once the planet of Xandar.
The Nova Corps opened to more members and expanded its protective range to include the entire Andromeda Galaxy and Earth. They are also known as the Xandarian StarCorps. The Xandarian Queen, in the role of Prime Commandant, had ultimate authority of the Nova Corps.
They used an energy source called the Nova-Force, which all Nova Centurions wield and which came from the Worldmind, Xandar's primary source of knowledge, energy and power.
The Xandarians have preserved the minds of their deceased brothers and sisters, linking them together in the Worldmind, creating a governing system unlike any across the Universe. The Worldmind served as a Multiple Mind Democracy using the knowledge of it´s deceased citizens to make decisions for Xandar and the Nova corps.
The Worldmind contains and controls the Nova Force, the cosmic energy that provides the Nova Corps and its members with extraordinary abilities. Those abilities consist of the ability of flight, super strenght and a connection to the Worldmind itself. Those who are higher ranked in the Nova corps can tap into more powers such as the ability to open stargates, energy blasts and the release of a brief but devastating electromagnetic burst.
The Xandar Cluster withstood several failed invasions among them, one of the Skrulls, with whom they had previously maintained good terms (which allowed them to develop independantly within the Skrull's galaxy) but resisted until 2008 when they were wiped out , along with the Nova Corps by the Annihilation Wave.
The Worldmind managed to survive the destruction of the Cluster by downloading itself in the mind of the Corps's only survivor and later merged with the sentient wandering planet Ego.

STRONTIANS

Planet of Origin: Strontia in the Triangulum Galaxy
The Strontians are humanoids with a purplish skin pigmentation, which look externally a lot like humans. They possess exceptional cognitive abilities that allow them to achieve what ever they believe. This makes them potentially extremely powerful and invulnerable to most harm. Their abilities has been known to manifest itself in extreme cases in traits like superhuman strength allowing them to life several hundred tons, speed, reflexes, stamina; durability allowing them to withstand the blast of a supernova; heat vision stated as hotter than the heart of stars; frost breath and warpspeed flight capacities. Whatever their power's level, they remain vulnerable to a certain form of rare radiations.
They are a proud race of warriors who valued nothing above honor and duty. This made their fealty to the Shi'ar, under whose rule they live, was without question. While they possess an advanced civilisation, the extend of what they actually developed and what was brought to them by the Shi'ar remains unknown.
Source: Marvel Universe, the first strontian to appear in media was Gladiator of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard in X-Men #107 (1977) . His species was not presented though until War of Kings Warriors #1, 2009)

KURUKANS / CHRISTMAS MARTIANS

Planet of Origin: Kuruku
The kurukans are an advanced humanoid species who developed a peaceful spacefaring civilisation. Despite their faster-than-light technology they are non-expansionnist, limiting themselves to observation of other culture and occasional interaction. They possess powerful psionic powers and a very strong trickster attitude, always making pranks, among themselves and while visiting other culture.
They are known to have visited Earth at least one time during winter1971, when one of their kind came to the Quebec countryside of eastern Canada.

TUFFLES / TSUFURU-JIN

Planet of Origin: Planet Plant (Vegeta)
The Tuffles were a highly advanced technological race of humanoids. Despite their incredible technologies, the Tuffles were largely a docile race and held no aggression towards each other or other races, nor did they suffer from overpopulation.
At some point, Sayians made contact with them, brought to the planet by a spaceship after the destruction of their own world. Contact between the two culture was minimal for nearly a century. The Tuffles lived in their advanced cities in the more fertile areas of the Planet, while the Saiyans lived in tribes in the badlands.
Then, a Sayian leader declared war on the Tuffles with the intent of eradicating them. The Saiyans had greater strength but possessed far fewer numbers, while the more numerous Tuffles had a clear technological advantage. The war was brought to a sudden end by the occurance of a once in a century astronomical vent, the full moon. Its appearance transformed the entire Sayian race into their feral Great Ape forms and in a single night the Tuffles were annihilated. Taking what interested them of their technology the Saiyans established their own society amidst the ruins of the Tuffle civilization.
