The Encyclopods is a rare sapient space-borne telepathic species that resemble gigantic manta rays, with eggs that have the appearance of Violet Dwarf Stars. They are devoted to the preservation and harvesting of the Ch'i and DNA of all endangered life forms and the recreation of species from its collection. They evolved in their present form millions of yeara ago from a now extinct species believed to have either been either frog or snake like.
